I am in the same exact situation, it doesn't help that have female body fat distrubution and gynecomastia, plus wide hips. I decided to go to Morocco (I am in Spain) and buy my test in a pharmacy there. The 250mg Test E literally costs me 3 dollars the ampoule and it is an official pharma brand (Androtardyl).
I feel great on Test, more confidence, motivation, mental clarity and confidence in social situations. I take charge of stuff easily, I went from constant suicide idealization every night to feeling good about life. The only issue I have is that I have not been able to find Aromatase Inhibitors, and If I pin too much, too often, my oestrogen goes up and I feel exactly like I did in the past.
I don't know about homebrewing man, I have no experience with that stuff. I woudl certainly make sure I know what I am doing before anything like that. If you are in the US, you could try asking /fraud/ for sources.
