Hard question to answer. Started lifting in 2011, fall 2012 broke my collar bone, got a plate put in, 6 months off, then in fall of 2014 I think it was I got the plate taken out and that was another 3 months off then spring 2015 I did something over spring break and had to take more time off, been a weird ride but total lifting 5 years I guess but with all the stuff, been lifting consistently for the past year and a half?

To be honest, after a few days of not squatting my knees actually start feeling fine again.
And i also never had any problems with my knees until recently - squatted just fine for a pretty long time, never gave much fucks about what my knees do.

The thing is, i walked in that day with knees feeling OK.

And during the squat i somehow always feel that there is a lot of pressure on my knees around halfway up in the lift.
The moment i squat it does not hurt, i just feel the pressure.

But after the set it does hurt.

And i cannot seem to be able to change running into this pressure on my knees.
Because it doesn't even matter how much i push out my knees in the hole, since as soon as i get half way up i always end up on my knees and i am not sure if its anatomically possible not to have the weight on the knees at that point.

Do you lads feel your knees in the squat, do you feel that there is pressure and weight on them?

my knee pain would also come back and get worse if i was lifting, but a couple weeks off squatting it would come back aswell, doctor xrayed knees which was pointless anyway, physio told me i had different leg lengths and to wear shoe inserts, inserts made my hamstrings seize up everytime i tried to wear them for a prolonged time, different physio told me leg difference was because hips were rotated

anyway probably took over a year to get over it, might have prolonged it because i tried to go back to squatting too soon, not sure if hips are rotated anymore or not but i havent had pain in a couple years

i dont think its possible to not feel the pressure on a bent knee in the squat
this is how i still squat without pain now for reference

i think anything wrong with your squat would be so slight that it wouldnt be controllable at max effort anyway
its not what you want to hear but i think its time off you need

doctor/physio may not do anything for you but i would probably still go
