This chocolate milk has been in the news recently, is the "muscle refuel" claim just an advertising gimmick, or is it any good?
here is the nutrition label
>>36865129
>42g of sugar
Worse than most soda
Only good if you're dirty bulking honestly
almost 300 calories and 20g of protein wouldn't be to bad for someone whos bulking but for most people it's just chocolate milk
might buy some though cause i am
>>36865129
>sugar: 42g
yikes
>>36865129
>sugar 42g
what the fuck man
Would blending cocoa into milk, without so much sugar, be just as good, or better?
>>36865275
42g of sugar is never good ever
>>36865524
less carbs
probably less calories
so yes
>>36865524
yeah it would be better but it wouldn't taste very good.

i've read that a 2:1 carb:protein ratio is good for a post workout drink, and that fits the bill. i'm not sure how broscience this is though
>>36865120
Fairlife is superior.
>>36865129
>43 grams carbs
>only 20 protein
>cows fed with glyphosate covered corn
enjoy getting fat and sick
>>36865120

beware that lactase may count towards the "protein" throwing off the whole balance of complete protein profile
I can't back it up with any research BUT from a cost effectiveness POV. Most people buy whey with the AA profile on the side yet milk labeling is not the same.
