>2016

>Not using your gift of autism and love of Excel to track literally every pound of force you are exerting in the gym.
>Not tracking every ounce of reverse osmosis water you consume.
>Not tracking every mile you walk with your dogbro.
>Not tracking every calorie and macro and comparing it to the automatically-updating Harris-Benedict formula.
>Not identifying patterns of workout effectiveness based upon caloric/sleep/carb starts, orgasm flags, and artificial energy supplement usage.
>Not adding descriptive log notes after each workout with target reminders and weight/set/rep logs for growth over time.

>Not remembering to block out your height so /fit/ doesn't default to their favorite ad-hom.

It is like you don't even want to make it.

How are you successfully playing the game when you don't even know how to keep score?

Why do you deny your autism?

I have no rebuttal for not making $200k a year. You got me on that one.

Do you even autism? Libreoffice, Firefox and GNU/Linux.
Anyway, gross calculations are more than enough. Time is your best resource, and you're wasting it.

I'm beginning to think you don't have autism, just shit at computers.
>>
>>36818029
too bad the math is wrong on total kcal burned for resistance training as well as the fact that TUT is not in the equation which is probably why your numbers are ridiculously false.
>>
>>36818644

You're probably right. I'm shit at a lot of things.

Can you show me how you track your fitness?
>>
>>36818029
> force is just weight * reps * sets
at least measure the length of a rep to properly calculate how much kinetic energy you put out
not autistic enough
>>
>>36818029
You know there's an app for this shit right? Do you mine bitcoin by manually calculating the hashes with pencil & paper as well m8?
>>
>>36818654

Are you talking about the activity multiplier applied in the Harris-Benedict above the BMR?

I'd figured it isn't exact, as it is lumped into assumptive, cookie-cutter multiples based on light/medium/high activity.

I'm not about to tackle TUT, as I won't have a stopwatch during each rep and care little to see what is burned, rather what is consumed.

Benchmarking, even if it isn't exact, gives a position of reference for change.

There probably is an app. I don't like using them.

$10/month for FitnessPal? I steal their macro data, but I'm not giving them a dime.
>>
Could you give me dat food sheet ?
>>
>>36818747
>I'd figured it isn't exact, as it is lumped into assumptive, cookie-cutter multiples based on light/medium/high activity.
this is false.

the equations are pretty accurate... If you look at real equations they are accurate. its the equations set out by companies that are false because they want people to think they burn more calories on their own products. Same reason people still use heart monitors for fitness when it doesnt do what they think it does.

TUT isnt hard. just count bro. can you count to 4? its the highest youd ever need to go.

your reference for change wont matter if your reference numbers are all off.
>>
>>36818762
That app is free, so is the one I linked you above. Even if it weren't, you couldn't pay me $10 to waste as much time as your method consumes. I'm a $10k a month CEO, my time is money.
>>
>>36818482
I'm not saying that working out is worthless if you're not world class. I'm saying that you could be putting way less effort and still get a lot of the final result. If it really takes you a small amount of time to collect the data than do it, I understand the stubborn autism when it comes to data collection.
>>
>>36818813
All youre doing is knocking him for some good work he did. Theres literally no reason to do that other than jealousy.

So what if he did this, hes now more organized and as a business owner, physical therapist, and PT I can tell you I did this exact same thing when i started and When I could apply it to people it was an enormous amount f time saved. so fuck off

The only time spent on it is during set breaks.

I like the color coding. Enjoy your trips to Poundtown, /fit/bro.

No formal training is required, just dick with it until you get stumped, then you google how to get beyond it.

It is just a bunch of COUNTIF formulas and maybe one VLOOKUP formula for that delicious 470-calorie ham sandwich.

I even made a little tool that counts plates with bar weight, which I'll be flamed heavily for, and a badass little reset button for it.

You're probably right. I don't look as good as I could.

Hopefully, one day I make it.

I keep track of my calories on a spreadsheet, it helps me seeing if I really eat what I think I do.
I set the limit at 70% of the calories necessaries to maintain my weight (235lbs at 5'11)
So far the results are good, I lost 3kg in one week. It takes 3 minutes everyday and I can avoid rough guessing which is often wrong.

Your view of "good work" is what I view as time wasted on things that are not worth it. Using your argument any worthless data collection could be justified as good work.
I'm not jealous, why would I be? You think I am jealous because I don't have the willpower to track every single stupid detail of my life in an Excel spreadsheet? If this was what I had to do to be successful I'd do it all day every day, but it simply IS NOT. If you knew anything about being effective in ANYTHING you would know that doing work that isn't beneficial just to fill out your time is not effective, it's just a form of mental resistance towards doing the things that really matter. Learning to be organized shouldn't be executed in doing worthless and endless organizational work. That's like doing 1000 push ups a day if you want to be a 250 lbs bodybuilder. Cut out the fucking theorizing and get to work. Also don't cuss out people on the internet. Love ya brah
>>
I'm not autistic and I've literally never used Excel nor do I even know/want to know/care how to use it, so...

This.

You should use an index formula with a nested match function, its more efficient and flexible than vlookups.

You can earn a decent living with this shit bro if you commit to it. I do MI and data analysis using excel, VBA and some database management with SQL. Currently making $37k a year doing short term contracts and that's for someone who has only being doing this a year.

all this autismo tracking and you still manage to do it wrong
>>
>>36819171
I think you have the right 'idea' tracking things. Something I'm not seeing here is the elimination of exercises that are not effective.

Tracking is only effective until you have a solid understanding of what works for you and what doesn't. At that point it becomes ineffective.

Maybe you should go into personal training or a related field where you can put your fitness data tracking interest to more use...
