What does /fit/ think of this workout plan?
My friend and I are trying to start getting in better shape while at college.

Looks great OP, but maybe you should lift too

What do you mean?

I started on a split and didn't know what I was doing and also lacked strength. Splits are, in my experience, more effective after building basic strength and learning compounds. Pic unrelated again

Prime gainz period is during these first few months of lifting. Doing a split this early will just lead to wasted gainz. The best way to go about it for beginners, in my opinion, is an upper body-lower body split.
10/10 pic op
Start with a strength program like SS or SL. That 5-day shit isn't going to do anything for you, especially with one workout on each body part a week. "Maximum recuperation" fuck that, you only need 48 hours to hit a muscle group again.

Quads of discord point the way. Ch-ch-ch-ch-checked.

use your newb gains wisely
hint: GET AS STRONG AS POSSIBLE, DONT START WITH A RETARDED BROSPLIT

You think the routine is too intensive for a beginner? Is it because it is a whole body split? I have never really worked out to build muscle.

>tfw I prefer 5 day bro splits
>tfw I think they're more fun
>tfw you can eat more junk food on them since you're exercising more
>tfw they build muscle and help you stay in shape
>tfw they're more convenient since you can do other exercises of a certain machine or the squat rack is taken
>tfw can't me /fit/ unless you are doing a two day a week push-pull workout with 10 sets total in a workout
>dat volume
You'd have to be on a pretty nice cycle in order for that to make sense
