What is your favorite row exercise /fit/? Do you pull to your stomach or your chest? What is the best row exercise?
>>
Heavy dumbbell row
I use 120s for sets of 5 (watch on form as much as I can, but litttle body English is allowed)

Bb row really taxed my lower back a bit mucyh and became more of a barbell-hump once I got past 250

Never tried cables doe

I like T-bar rows, cable mid rows and although it's not a row, chins.

I decided to use this thing at the gym and damn its a nice workout after awhile. Is it better to drop rows and just use thing thing?

Always been one of my favorite exercises.
>>
>>36705048
I really hate how I can't control it the way I can control bench press. I kinda pull very hard and lower it slowly. What is the secret, teacher?
>>
>>36705048

Did these today, up to 275 3x3 without anything
>>
>>36705136
Hell if I know. I guess that's pretty much how I do it too.
>>
>>36705136

Lower the weight. Stop ego lifting etc
>>
>>36701577
They have 50kg dbs at your gym?
>>
>>36705211
Not him but most gyms go up to 150.
>>
Bent over rows by far are my favorite. I can row 225 for 5 but my bench is only 185 :(.

You still need to row.
>>
>>36705136
Lower the weight, and slow it down.
Maybe try some other variations?
>>
>>36701320

It sounds and looks fun. Might be a good alternative to dumbell rows.
>>36705968
Yeah son, you're going to lose all of your gains because of that back and bi cardio.
>>
>>36705983
True. My back has gotten more defined cause of standing rows guess Ill stick with it.

i have spinlock dumbbells so i can regulate the weight on them up to 1.1lbs (have kg pl8s though)

i tried putting 6 of the 45s on a single dumbbell once (around 275lbs)
couldn't even break it off the floor (pull 470 conventionally)
>>
>>36701320
with t-bar rows most people seem to do 1/2 ROM and only go up to 2.5pl8 max, should you go light or heavy with rows? i always thought the idea was to go heavy and use full ROM, so i go up to about 4pl8 for ~8 reps, beyond that my form goes to shit and i start to cheat.

are the other people idiots or am i doing rows wrong? the only people who seem to do rows here aren't particularly big guys, so i can't use them for comparison.
