we all know the body isnt efficient but the claim that you need a lot of protein is made up by the fitness industry to sell you protein powder

Doesnt make sense? look at all the protein powder brands avaible and the different kind of subtypes(egg protein, pea protein, whey concentrate, isolate, hydrolate, etc)
Also look at how every fitness youtuber says you need a lot of protein and at the same time tries to sell you protein powder

there are many studies saying 1-1.5g/kg of lean mass is enough. If you are doing it for the satiating effect fine but dont post how about you NEED it

Looks like you've never heard of positive nitrogen balance, the bigger you get, the more protein you need to maintain positive nitrogen balance, positive nitrogen balance is required to actually gain muscle on your frame.

I've been lifting for 6 years, I've tried low protein, moderate protein, high protein. I know for a fact that more protein = much better body-composition. I did low-moderate protein intake for a long time and lost size and strength, it doesn't fucking work.

Breakfast: Eye of the round steak or buffalo burgers.

Noon: Eye of round or buffalo, sometimes lazy and just eat beef jerky.

Evening: Sometimes cow ass, buffalo, jerky, sometimes with vegetables like rice and carrots or green beans.

I generally do these on a rotation when I get sick of the other, then replace it with good ol' chicken breasts and fish when I get sick of both.

I eat A LOT of beef jerky, and that shit ain't cheap in $6 a bag, I tried to make homemade but I'm a lazy fucker and it's too much work.

kek, nah. Never had to go over $10-12/day. There's always a cheap 35+% protein food somewhere. Lentils and kidney beans if you're actual poverty tier, although they're incomplete. Beef mince, heart, silverside, tinned salmon, chicken breast, various sausages, burger pattys, eggs, cheese, etc if you're just poor like me. What's cheap ($ per 1000kJ) depends where you live. Then you just gotta know good recipes. Pasta with a meat-heavy sauce is the food of the gods if you're bulking.

so as you can see that is: 174g of protein for £3.40~ a day, and a fuck load of calories (breast meat would reduce the calories, as would using lesser fat milk, as would getting brined sardines, as would generally eating less outside of this)

eggs are also cheap as fuck if you know where to look.

Positive nitrogen balance to gain muscle means you're putting in more protein into your body than your body needs to sustain it's current amount of lean mass.

If you want to increase your lean mass on your frame, you will need to increase your protein intake, if you don't your body will not be in a state of positive nitrogen balance, negative nitrogen balance means your body will begin to cannibalize itself in order to repair muscle fibers in other areas. Yes, that actually happens. The only way your body repairs itself and adds NEW muscle cells is when you are in positive nitrogen balance, without that, it cannot build new muscle cells, it can only take protein from other sources of the body, to repair the damage, it wont grow more.

ON and dymatize, total 12lbs/month. 4 scoops on rest days, 5 on training days, sometimes additional ones when i'm in a rush or don't want to cook. 30$/week for protein alone really isn't much on a cut consisting of 1100-1400 calories a day. Fun fact: You probably won't need more. Unless you're training for Mr. Universe and/or gym is your only one job you'll need less than 1.8g/kg of _lean_ mass; 1.4 is more than enough. Assuming you're 182 cm and 85 kg, 15% bf you're golden with 100g protein/day. If you weight less/your lean body mass is lower than 72 kg, do not fucking care about taking more than 100g proteins.
