What's the best method for changing your body clock?

I keep sleeping in till 9:30, when I'd rather be getting up around seven.

I've tried alarms, and putting them on the other side of the room, but all I do is get up, turn them off, then go back to sleep.

>Get up
>take pre workout.

>get up
>stay up

but for real, just gradually go to bed earlier and earlier, and sleep with the intention of waking up (sounds odd but it made a hell of a difference for me)
>>

Tell your body you wanna be up at 7. It's that easy. I usually wake up 4 minutes to the hour I want to be up
>>
>>36695981
Eat a ton of nasty food so as soon as you get up you have to immediately shit, drink preworkout or coffee while shitting, there ya go.
>>
>>36695981
one day pull an all nighter or go to bed really late, like at 2-3-4 and get up at 6am.
then you'll be able to fall asleep earlier and get up at a decent hour.
eat good food, exercise. no coffe after noon and no screens 1 hours before bed
>>36696079
also this, I always wake up before my alarm
>>
Go to bed earlier. I wake up before 5 every day during the week. Feel fine because I make sure I get in bed on time. I usually don't have much to do when I get home so I can afford to just relax and go to sleep sooner
>>

I just told my body to wake me up around 7 but it didn't give me any sort of confirmation that it would. How do I trust it? Do I meditate and listen to my inner voice? For some reason I just have a wierd feeling that this stupid bullshit won't work lol

subhuman high schooler MMO player-tier behavior

Get a job where you dont need to go that fucking early. Its not good for you waking up before 9..

Or get one of those natural light sun thingy lamps, thatll wake you up naturally.

Cheers for the tips lads. I've just downloaded an app that makes me scan a bar code in the bathroom to turn the alarm off, hopefully that'll be better.

>>36696371
The alarm doesn't really wake me up, I'm still half-asleep/dreaming while I get out of bed and turn it off.

>>36696382
It's sunny at 7 where I am due to the clocks changing, and I have sunlight on me, I'm just a deep sleeper.
>>
>>36696258
This, Work your ass off during the day and go to bed when you feel tired.
I used to fight sleep all the time and now I just let it take over.
Also I've found when doing this that it really helps to be prepared a lot in advance with meals and things so you can eat easy and well when you get home.

Question
No matter when i sleep I always wake up at 6 am or 5:45
how do i change that
>>
It's spring again so I just make sure my curtains are very slightly openened.
>wake up because the sun shines on my face
Alarm clocks are THE DEVIL

Perfectly good hour to wake up at. You wake up when your feels it's had enough. Next question.

stay moderately active during the day

1 hour before bed NO TV. NO COMPUTER. NO IPAD NO PORN NO MASTURBATING NOTHING EXCITING YOURE ABOUT TO SNOOZE

i usually go for a walk and go some stretching

go to bed at the same time everyday and do NOT hit that snooze button. you gotta wake up at the same time EVERY DAY

3 hours of sleep and the alarm goes off? sucks to sucks faggot try again tomorrow

worked for me
>>
>>36697842
oh i forgot. take the melatonin like 1.2 hours before bed. do your research its good shit
>>

Literally just do this. It's how we're meant to wake up because melatonin is regulated by darkness and sunlight. You want to sleep in the dark and wake up to the sun. That's why people wake up groggy even though they sleep for 8 hours because they either slept in a room with some form of light or they woke up in a dark room with no sun, or both. They are also often not consistent with their sleep times.

To adjust sleep-wake times, download flux, no lights a couple hours before the time you want to sleep, and try to actually use your brain. This isn't broscience, but you don't sleep more if your body is tired. In fact, bodily recovery just occurs over time, not specifically with sleep. You sleep more if your brain's tired, i.e., actually getting hotter from being used. So do something that gets you smarter. Read decent essays or improve your knowledge of an interesting topic. Or jogging. That's one of the few things that are guaranteed to have cognitive benefits because of how much it actually uses the brain.

Here's pic related before you autistic retards want to argue with a textbook. Don't follow anecdotal advice THAT ISN'T FROM YOU. In other words, experiment on your own, but follow the basic foundations.

Funny enough, this guy kind of gets some of it. >>36697842

You get sleepy from adenosine build-up whose receptors are what caffeine blocks. It's your body's natural way of telling you to shutdown. It gets destroyed when you go to bed, and accumulates while you are awake. So don't take naps if you want to really stick to that sleep-wake cycle.

You just get up... I have a feeling you're a pampered twenty something.

"Bee bee boo boo I'm sleeping in all day"

Get up faggot!
>>
>stay up until 7 am
>have no problems transitioning into sleeping at 1 am or earlier

what up faggots
>>
>>36695981
As soon as you get up go directly to an open door or window and let sunshine into your eyes.. don't stare directly at the Sun,anon just gaze out and don't close your eyes.. go through that initial discomfort and let the Sunshine degrade the melatonin.. do it for a minute or so or until your eyes acclimate

The other factor is Blue Light at night.. don't allow it..No Computer monitor/smart device /kindle etc.. blue light destroy Melatonin .. eventually you'll be able to start getting sleepy earlier and become accustomed to getting up earlier .

Also get as much AM full sunlight as possible.. more the further North you live... and get plenty of DHA from Fish and drink plenty of Spring Water, a few liters a day.

I take some supplements like Baicalin, Taurine, Magnesium Glycinate and Potassium Citrate which can help to relax you but I weened off Melatonin supplement which I'd been taking for years..
>>
>>36699763
>weened off Melatonin supplement
this is important because when you supplement exogenous Melatonin your endogenous production falls off.. you shouldn't get used to this .. you need melatonin for other things beside feeling sleepy at night. if you only have it circulating at night when you supplement you lack it during the day in other areas where it is required and then you suffer.
