If you're fat and untrained just go on any newbie program and restrict your calories

What if you're skinny and untrained?

I always lift as heavy as I can for the rep range im working on. usually 8-12 but i also do 5x5 3x5 and 1x5 from time to time. Switch it up keep progressing toward heavier higher reps.

you start at 200lb bench x 5 reps

soon after months on constant practice 180x8's and mixing in 5x5 from time to time you move up on bench. soon your doing 200x8. after some time you can hit 200x12 with ease but you have new goals and that 215x8 is already getting easy....

OP I just began cutting and am following a loose reverse pyramid scheme. This way i can keep handling heavier weights during my cut but still get reps in. I feel like this way when I resume bulking I will still be acclimated to heavier weights.

I do this bulking and cutting. My weight might come down slightly on a cut but not by much and its usually much higher and cleaner reps then I was last cut.

Yes.

Whatever gets you to do more volume. More volume = more hypertrophy = higher metabolic rate

What if you're well-trained, but flabby?
