>Went into a Rapid Fat Loss/Protein Sparing Modified Fast
>Cut down 3% or so bodyfat
>Went back to maintenance for a week (as the author suggested)
>Gained 4% body fat!!!
>A week knocked out 3 weeks of progress
WTF! I need to get rid of them shits, like fast! Without losing any gains. I got like 4 weeks! From 19% to at least 15% or at least to look good for the beach, man!
FUCK THIS SHIT GENETICS!
I am in damage control mode right now and I just cut my total calories in half with a refeed/carb load on Friday
FUCK HELP!

There's no way you gained 4% bodyfat in a week. Assuming you're 150 pounds, that's 6 pounds of fat which would require just about 20,000 calories over maintenance to store over a week - bulking at a 3,000 calorie surplus daily.
That's water weight and glycogen, brah. You just came off a fast.
>>36650683
Holy shit dem feet
>>36650853
Horey shet! I was 150 lbs.! Then this morning I was 159 lbs.!
If it was glycogen, the consensus was you will feel leaner but with more muscle. Right now I am pinching my belly dawg.
Also, just looking at myself right now and my face is chubbier.

This.
Your muscles are full of water.
Glycogen is good though. Enjoy your lifts going up
>>36650957
As I said though bro, the gain seems to be on the surface.
I will admit that my muscles feel fuller, though.
>Enjoy your lifts going up
They have, and I am happy. However I look like shit.
>>36650911
>the consensus was you will feel leaner but with more muscle [definition]
Yeah if you're stacked. You're not yet, broham.
>Right now I am pinching my belly dawg.
Like I said, the majority is water-weight. Assuming you were at 15% bodyfat → 85% lean body mass → 122.5 lbs lean body mass.
You store about 3ish grams of glycogen per pound of lean body mass. So around 300 grams of glycogen. A gram of glycogen is always coupled with 3 grams of water - so an additional 1200 grams of water sitting in the muscles. That's ~1.5 kilos, so around 3 pounds.
The rest of the weight (those 6 pounds) are a combination of water retention due to higher salt/carb intake and literal shit in your intestines.
Your best bet - since you've got about a month and a half to prepare - is take on a targeted ketogenic diet.
Eat around maintenance, majority of calories from fat/protein - drink 20 grams of carbs before your workout and 10-30 grams after depending on how intense your workout is. Chocolate milk is GOAT for this.

>I gained 4% body fat in a week of eating at maintenance
I've honestly seen less retarded things get posted by HAES advocates.
>>36650597
>gain 4% bodyfat
>in a week
nigga that is not possible unless you ate 3 large pizzas everyday for a week.
like other people said, you were depleted then you replenished the water+glycogen. you wont look as lean/dry but your muscles should look fuller and your strength should be on the rise.

And this is me, 4th of April 2016

Pretty much this. Except take the carbs AFTER working out. It makes a difference on the partitioning, believe me.
You don't gain 4% body fat in 1 week on maintenance mode; it's called maintenance mode for a reason... Jesus Christ, how stupid can people really be.

Looks the same, famalam
Dat body dysmorphia doe

You were on a no-carb diet.
You added carbs back in and, low and behold, the lost water weight returned.
>>36650597
From the way you're typing I can safely assume that you didn't read RFL 2.0 >>36651114 You are also even below DYEL mode.
RFL is mainly for fatassess who want to lose weight fast or a person who actually lifts but over-bulked.
I think the memers on fit have gotten to you lad but no one makes decent gains by trying to stick to 10% bfat.
>>36650597
First of all, no matter how well thought out it is, crash dieting leads to weight rebound. This is a WELL-KNOW FACT. And if it comes as a surprise to you, then you're a goddamn idiot and it serves you right, you impatient fuck. It has NOTHING to do with your "shit genetics".
Secondly, even though the above is true, there is no way you gained 4% bodyfat in one fucking week. You're messing up your measurements or calculations or something.
Thirdly
>3 weeks
>1 week
Rid yourself of this juvenile instant gratification mindset or prepare to get absolutely nowhere. There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going. Pick a more sensible approach and come back in 3 years. Not 3 weeks, god damnit.

I would believe you guys that its all in my head. But the Bodpod data (pic related) says otherwise. The data taken was a week apart before I started the diet.
I shouldve went back to the bodpod before and after I went to maintenance.
