I'm new to cycling and have been riding 10 miles a day on average for the last month.
Next week I have to travel 150 miles.
What can I do to prepare + what should I take/ take with me on the journey?
Pic related; but it'll be a single speed

You are pretty much fucked. Make sure you bring something to maintain your electrolytes.
If you don't have proper cycling clothes, get them now.

Eat a shit ton of carbs the day before. Like an insane amount of sugar.
Make sure your seat is fitted perfectly. Your taint is gonna hate you
Your ass is going to be so sore.

A flat tire kit and tools to fix it, maybe a co2 cannister for a quick camera filler, but it's not necessary, just smaller than the standard pump.
Water, bananas and reflecting vest for coming cars if it's required by law. Knee and elbow protectors if you feel like it. Also water. It all fits in a small backpack or one of those triangle looking packs you can attach to the bike itself
Bring a book to read

If you are in the USA, I would double check the census data about black residences, and make sure you don't pedal your little bike in that area. Even the "good blacks" go crazy when they see a bicycle. If you get stopped, say you work for the department of children and families - and you are looking for the father of Tyrone La'something, so that you can serve collection notices. It works half the time. Good luck.
>single speed
>150 miles
i hope you have somewhere to get a ride back senpai
