how do you guys warm up for all your lifts?

I'm a beginner on SS so all my lifts are really light. any tips on how I should warm up?

I am a beginner too using the SL 5x5 app. For warmup it tells me to do two sets of 5 with the bar then one set with about half the weights. Then I do my regular 5x5.

im on SS week 5

i warm up on rower for 10 mins or if thats not available elliptical fot same 10 mins

then proceed to my lifts using the empty bar for at least 2 sets of 5.

there is a starting strength app that i use on my phone it walks you through your warmup sets i find it helpful.

do rowing after if you want, don't need cardio to warm up that is the original meme bro. Will just tire you out a bit for the lifts and negatively affect strength gains.

just go in 10 lbs increments if it's light enough. try to stay under 4 warmup sets though. take bigger jumps in the lower range and smaller jumop the closer you get to working weight.

also i'm big on static stretching but that's not for everyone.

If you warm up it's dangerous. What makes more sense? Doing a maximal attempt from the get go which develops strength, elite tendon health, and reinforces technique or doing a bunch of warm ups that tire you out before you get to your hewvy sets anyway? Did Jesus warm up when he was carrying the cross? No, he had elite tendon strength from lifting heavy year round and tnatnever warming up. Thanks.

This is proper technique though. Full ROM is down to perpendicular, which for me is about my eyes. Anything more is risky to damage my rotator cuff.

This is what I do. Percentages are based on working sets weight, so, yeah, if are doing 5 x 5 w/ 300 pounds, your last warmup single will be 330 pounds.

Im basically a carbon copy of the guy on the left, what did he do to fix himself up like that? i am planning on starting 5x5, hiring a personal trainer one time to make sure my form is good, and changing my lifestyle and eating habits...Does anyone know what that guy did?
