5'9", 153lbs. I've been cutting for summer, but I was told by many to just bulk. Their reasoning was that my physique will look weird as I don't have enough muscle, and I would have to cut to a really low amount before my muscles would pop.

What do you think, /fit/? Should I continue cutting, or bulk?

OP here. Imo, bulk. I am not the most fitness-informed person, but I feel you pertain more to my idea I've tried expressing in my post. Seems as though your cut can only go so far, and your body needs a lot more muscle.

bulk or cut? 6'2", last time I weighed myself I was 205 so I think I'm around 210 now.

I don't care at all about cutting for summer, I just want to gain strength. Can I continue to bulk, but not consume as many calories as I have been in order to not get ridiculously fat?

Or should I attempt a recomp? Eat at maintenance and lift and when my lifts stall start bulking again?

I weigh 145 and look better than him, it's about the joints and insertions, if you've got small joints and a smallish frame, having some muscle will make you look bigger than you actually are.

Tbh i doubt i'll lose the stomach pouch since it's mostly skin with little fat underneath , i know this because it feels way different than fat and it looks really wrinkley when i curl my stomach

It's mostly fat, with maybe a little bit of loose skin, but mostly just fat.

The little bit of lose skin that will remain after the fat is gone can easily be stretched out from adding some more mass to the abs.

I used to have a pretty gluttonous appetite too. Honestly, I don't have any solid tips. Eat clean, and slow down when you eat. Realize that most of the time you're eating, it's not because you are hungry, but because you are bored or enjoy the taste of food. Just takes a lot of self-discipline to get to the point where you have complete control.

I trim down every spring and make sure to dedicate a solid 8 months of the year to strength training.

That said my powerlifting routine just makes me look really wide when I cut, not aesthetically pleasing.

Bulk or cut senpai?
Details: 6'5, 250, down from 330. Tons of stretch marks and loose skin.
If I cut, I'll likely use yohimbe and do keto; I need to lose fat on my hips/thighs/belly.
Also how much will my pant size change if bulk?

If you cut you're going to look awful until you bulk. If you bulk you'll put on weight which isn't the coolest thing after a weight loss.

I'd say lift on a moderate surplus. Don't go full retard dirty bulk. You won't see gains physically but your lifts will go up. You'll also still lose fat as long as your bulk isn't retarded and you stick with lifting.

Do a clean bulk, if you're actually serious about this and do tons of research it's possible to gain muscle while simultaneously losing fat or maintaining fat (Most likely). It's due to intermittent fasting and calorie+carb cycling. If you're actually serious about this shit it'll take quite a lot of mental will power and most people give up. Or you can go the traditional bulking/cutting look and look deformed and fucked for years until you get to a decent build.

You don't need to bulk or cut. You need to lift and eat at maintenance. When your bodyfat% drops and your lifts start to stall, add a couple hundred calories to your daily intake.

Bulking and cutting is a meme if you're a casual lifter. You can attain a very above average physique by lifting and eating at a slight caloric surplus year round. Once you've packed on a good amount of muscle THEN you can think about a mini-cut to get more definition before summer but that should consist of eating at maintenance or a couple hundred calories below maintenance, no 1000 calories a day bullshit.
