Is it okay if I just buy the whey protein from Walmart? or should I get the more expensive brand?
Off brand "whey" is often expired cake mix.

Question about whey protein: If I am trying to cut seriously (80+ Pounds), and am doing weight training, should I get protein powder high in protein (60grams), low amount (40-20ish,) or just not at all? I do want to build muscle, but losing fat is higher priority. I heard that extra protein also helps you from being sore from working out, but potassium from bananas also helps. Any advice?

it really doesn't matter how high in protein it is. Just use more scoops if needed. When I pick protein I just go for soy free and low in carbs and fat. Truenutrition seems to have the best prices and macros.

Protein powder is just a supplement you use if you're not getting enough protein in your diet already, like taking vitimins. Just get a cheap one that doesn't taste like shit, the only difference is brand brand usually; sometimes the more expensive ones add glutamine or carnitine or gleucine or other little bonuses but that stuff isnt worth the extra money if you can just find a cheap one if money is an issue
