Does it matter when in the day you get your protein in? If my daily goal is 150g of protein, but I eat 50 of it in the morning before my workout which is around 5 hours later, would it matter?
I think things take effect 3h later. I'm sure other anon will chime in but full absorption is around that time. A few factors on what's being digested takes place though.

Nah, make sure your diet, rest and training are good enough everyday and the results will come on their own.
My personal preference is to eat high carb breakfast, mainly from fruit, because it makes me feel good, high protein and fat make me feel sleepy so I eat them at night.
Point is do whatever feels comfortable
