What supplements are absolutely neccessary?

Why the fuck does everyone recommend fish oil?
>>
I don't take fish oil. I've heard some things about it going bad on store shelves. I figure I'm probably not losing anything essential if I don't take that one supplement.

My daily regiment always has a multivitamin, 3000 IU of vitamin D, and creatine.

>What supplements are absolutely neccessary?
None.
But when you don't want to eat too much, you can have a protein shake.
There's nothing wrong with creatine too, but it's not a neccessity.

Amen.

I never take creatine because I'm afraid of the bloat it creates and the dependence it causes. I've also heard weird things about balding.

I want to try beta but I heard that it's for preventing lactic acid buildup, which I never feel. So just whey for me right now.
>>

creatine
whey
omega 3
vitamin D

Creatine stimulates DHT
Omega 3 inhibits DHT

What happens when combined? I don't want to inhibit DHT since I am still 18, should I still take omega 3?
>>
>>36484758
Theres this one supplement that every living thing needs to functional properly. Your body is actually mostly made of it. Its called something like water.
>>
>>36484960
Isn't tea better than water.
>>
>creatine

Are you guys teens or something?

As a 24 year old man, there's no fucking WAY I'm touching something that speeds up balding. Fuck that.
>>
>>36485528
>speeds up balding

Scoose me?
>>
Creatine mang. The difference in muscle size when off vs on is too much for me to handle.
>>
>>36484843

>bloat

kind of a misconception. creatine causes the muscles to retain water, but you don't bloat like you would after drinking soda or something.

also

my god.

I don't know, do girls get male pattern baldness?

Dipshit.
>>
>>36485528
THIS. Creatine can mess you up. My gf took it while she went gym with me, apparently it made her periods pains 10x worse.
>>
>>36485557
>Creatine may increase the rate of balding in men with Male Pattern Baldness, although the data needs to be replicated a bit to be more conclusive. This may only practically apply to persons with a family history or already present receding hairlines, since there is a significant genetic component for hair loss in male youth.

So no, it doesnt
>>
>tfw balding
>that means I naturally produce a shit load of DHT and possibly creatine
>I probably don't need it

I also work in a job where I look at medical records. It looks like they test for creatine in the body even if they don't take the supplement. Therefore maybe it's natural and bald men already have a good supply of it.

>>
>>36486302
No, this is due to your kidneys being damaged in some way. Did you even listen to your doctor?
You need to tell your doc everything about your lifestyle and diet and get that shit on lock. Kidney damage is no joke.
>>
>>36485762
Male pattern baldness is determined by the X chromosome giving to men by their mother... So even if your mother's father and brothers don't go bald you can STILL GO BALD because your grandmother may have had one of her X chromosomes contain the baldness gene and have it be dormant..

Baldness is a fucking gamble, just like all genetics
>>
>>36485637
You're still drinking more water than you are shitting or pissing.
>>
>>36487627
Is the gene guaranteed to be passed on? Is it possible that it just says 'nah, fuck it' and skips me?
>>
>>36485552
protein in form of powdered shakes is a supplement, it's used when you don't take enough protein from foods...
>>
>>36488645

I still don't see how it's a supplement... it's still protein, it's still food.

and desu some of the more delicious food i consume on a cut :')
>>
>>36485528
>i have shit genetics

>>
>>36488607
He sit can be skipped...

Supposed your mother has 1x balding gene X chromosome... Women have 2 XChromosomes and men only have 1.... So as a male you would have a 50% chance of getting the balding gene
>>
>>36484806

I don't think any supplements are necessary. Although, protein is necessary, so by supplementing protein, I guess that makes it necessary? (sub-point is, protein being called a supplement is fucking dumb, I'm don't say I'm supplementing my protein by eating fuckin steak.)

I have had good results with chondrotin/mgm whatever that shit is for my joints. But I did start that when I got a roller, either way afflicted joints feel 100% better.

What ever supplements you need depends on your sitch. Never get any sun? Prolly need to supp dat dere vitamin Deez nuts

I have a legit questions regarding supps i need an answer for, tomorrow i have to get up around 3am to get my workout in before work, because straight after work i have a social thing, generally on normal days i just take creating+pre before and protein after

Because i will be lifting within a half hour of being awake in the morning i was just going to munch on a quest bar the minute i wake, have my creatine + pre, sip on bcaa's during my workout, and have protein + small chicken wrap then head off to work, considering i work a 12 hour shift i dont wanna leave myself short, would there be any downfall to this?

>tldr; i want to take creatine+pwo, bcaa during, and protein+small meal after, early morning, good or bad?
>>
>>36491127
the fuck are you even asking
>>
Supplements become necessary if you're competing in the higher -> elite levels, for the average fitizen they are not essential.
If your diet is in order you're good, otherwise a bit of extra magnesium and proton.
>>
>>36491139
Did you read the full thing or just the tldr?

Im asking if the combo of all that shit within an hour of waking would be alright, its like 80g of protein and maybe 50g of carbs in a short period of time, plus ive got next to no fucking clue how bcaa affects the body
