guys i have a bad gastroesophageal reflux and i am coughing for about 3 months now cause of that.
well i know i should use ppi's to treat it but i am curious about how it would effect protein digestion since gastric pepsin is only active in asidic ph
i searched everywhere including pubmed and i am a medical doctor myself (lol) but couldnt find an answer.
Youre not gonna digest anything if you puke it out. Just take the ppi's.
doesn't seem to affect my gains at all.

have you try zantac yet? if it treats your symptoms, its much healthier for you than ppis

Don't worry OP it won't do shit. Your acid ammount will be lower but you still will digest and absorb all the protons, as the intestine mostly does the job.
