Can deadlift improve the arch in your feet?

Ever since I started doing deadlifts and squats I swear the arches in my feet have gotten more pronounced (i have mildly flat feet)

Is there any science backing this?

What do you think supports the weight in any full body lift?

Makes sense yeah.

Would that weight translate to better arches though?

Don't know OP. Read this and see if anything jumps out as a possible reason.

It's possible, certain muscles in your legs provide suspension support for the arches in your feet, thus strengthening these muscles could potentially result in more pronounced arches? I don't know for sure but that would be my guess.

Yes, they can.
I have flat feet and doing deadlifts while consciously trying to keep a good arch helped me a lot.
It's more difficult in squats, because keeping a good arch limits dorsiflexion.
But that can be mitigated by doing wider stance squats.
