I think the difference is intensity.

"Running" (in comparison) is when you're keeping your fasted pace without sprinting. "Jogging" is more like your warmup to running. It's a slower pace to open up your lungs and get the blood pumping.

Yeah. Jogging means small gait and less stress fractures.
Running means flying up and forward then landing. Faster, but produces more injury.
