hello /fit/
i want to leave civilization behind and travel into the wilderness on my feet and start living there as wandering druid.
what kind of preparation training should i do before starting my journey?
>>
>>36277846
8 scoops
>>
Hunting, camping, hiking and upperbody strength
>>
>>36277852
already got first three covered
the last one can be regular army regime like pullups, pushups and situps?
>>
>>36277866
pullups, pushups and situps(preferably mixed with lots of other core exercises) will give you lots of upperbody strength and stamina. Those are the ones you should be doing

TWO SCOOPS

OP, where did you plan on going? I would love to do that too but I can't think of any place where civilization hasn't occupied anything...

First answer, best answer c'mon

>>36277932
thanks, ill get right into that
>>36277965
i'm not sure yet, surely gonna walk from where i am until something makes me stay
>>
>>36277866
planks are better than sit-ups. Planks trains your core, while sit ups trains you hip flexers

Northern BC Canada, good in the summer, in the winter go down to southern rockies in the states if able. More people south, most of northern/interior BC is blank

>believing chest and tri provide functionality in the wild
For the most part humans got a chance at evolution because of their capability for long distance running. gl bruh.
>>
>>36278101
You have never done a sit up in your life, have you? Don't lie.
>>
>>36277846
Sprint intervals, you'll need endurance.
And get a good backpack.
>>
>>36277846
5x5 reality check
3x8 swallow piss
Do this every day and you'll be ready OP

Living in the mountains with your dog sounds like the coziest thing ever, but I'm assuming it would be a absolute shit in reality
>>
>>36277846
Cardio, loaded carries for endurance.

Also, research MovNat or Methode Naturelle, those would be exactly what you're looking for.
>>
If you're going to make a lot of gains before hand it won't matter, you'll lose them after a few months anyway. The only thing you need to focus on is long-distance walking/running, aka cardio. Assuming this isn't a joke, of course.

I also second the 5x5 reality checks of >>36278510
>>
>>36278626
Why shit? Assuming you have a cabin or camp to retreat to when the weather gets bad it's perfect.

You dont have enough food to gain muscle though

Unless you want to poison yourself by eating fish all day

>poison yourself by eating fish all day
Fresh water fish in the mountains have low if any pollution. You can also hunt for food, set traps, and dry food such as oats, beans and lentils can be brought up to the cabin/camp.

>I'm assuming it would be a absolute shit in reality

Yeah it's essentially being homeless only without the chance for dumpster diving, soup kitchens, etc that you get in civilization.

I'd love to live in the wild but I sure as fuck wouldn't just wander out there thinking I'm gonna "make it." I'd buy some land and an old RV and use that as a start/basecamp and build from there. Without that you're at best a wilderness hobo and at worst a Chris McCandless copycat.

Some of us are brought up rurally and know how to hunt. During hunting season a few of my buddies stay out for 3-4 months at a time living in a tent with a gun and some fishing equipment. It's awesome as long as you like the lifestyle.
>>
>>36278472
He's right tho. Sit ups train (mostly) the hip flexors, just like hanging legs raises. Btter core exercises are plancs and dragon flags
>>
>>36278460
More because they could make and use tools
>>
thanks everyone for replying, i've decided to do pullups, pushups and few varieties of planks like people recommended and also some running

to all the curious - this isn't how i want to spend my whole life, i just need a reset, gonna go back to regular life in less than 2 years probably ( unless i'll really love it )
