If you have the time to make two separate shakes why not just make a meal that's better foe you with real food and whole nutrients since you're eating so many calories anyways? Do you have like a mini-shaker?
I have some 750 ml shakers, and I can fit 6 27 gram scoops in there, plus a screw-on cup where I can fit another two scoops worth of protein powder in. I only did 6 scoops once, it was the only way I could meet my macros proper.

I used to use a strawberry lean mass one when I was losing weight and it tasted great.
Ive now switched to another type and its chocolate flavoured.
It tastes like chalk and has a disgusting aftertaste, I really cant stand it.
as far as I can tell the flavours are mainly aesthetic, just for colouring as I couldn't taste either very much but are there any flavours I should flat out avoid?

Not quite. After protein is broken down into it's composite amino acids they'll circulate through your blood stream for just about 3 days. If you're in a caloric deficit - especially if you're lacking carbohydrates on your cut - these amino acids will be snatched up by the liver for gluconeogenesis.

Do you have any cocoa powder? Mix a teaspoon's worth of it into the chocolate whey, give it some real cocolate taste. A bit messy and probably not something you can be fucked to do every day, but it helps you get that nasty shit out of the whey so you can go back to the strawberry master race.
You could also use it to make some brownies or some other baked goods, or add it to coffee.

It's fine, as long as he cleans out the shaker proper. The cocoa powder also doesn't blend as easy as the whey for some reason, so there might be some small cocoa lumps in there if you're in a hurry to get your proteins in or you got a bad shaker. I'm the guy who suggested it, and I hav a Smartshake v2, which only really has a "grating" that stops you from drinking small animals that might've fallen into your shake or something, but in my experience you're good to go if you just shake it proper. 30 seconds might be overkill, but it defo works for me.
