These are my lats

one of the reasons my progress has been so slow in spite of lifting for a year is the fact that i am 6'0" and always do full ROM with every exercise, my grandpa a professional boxing trainer warned against doing half reps and becoming musclebound (slow/inflexible) and also said men who half and quarter rep are laughable when they try to step into the ring.

Im not a pro fighter but i want to join a gym, and i boxed when i was a kid (im 24 now) i dont want to ruin my body for fighting for aesthetics. I get girls primarily by being a performing musician and frontman so im not lifting for girls

Guys running laps around what is a relatively small space, doing what I assume is the closest thing to Crossfit they can achieve with the equipment available.

Then you get the kids who's rich parents pay their membership. Fucking around for hours lifting zero weight but somehow leaving the place looking like a bomb went off.

Still, better than my old gym were the cast of Goodfellas would turn up half way through your workout and proceed to scream at each other.

The Smith machine is great for pull-ups desu. Set the bar and safety stops at the top. You can also do inverted rows and bench dips. It's way better than the shitty square bar in the squat rack.
