Do you guys seriously eat 1g protein/ 1 lb bodyweight? I'm doing it right now and it just feels like too fucking much. I'm getting farts from hell and there is no respite from the stink my ass is producing.

>TL/DR how do i eat high protein without oozing dead rotting racoon smell out my ass
>>
>>36008061
i do 1lb/lean body mass

so i weigh 160lbs but my bf% is 20-25%

so i eat 120grams minimum since i've just estimated my body fat
>>
>>36008061
Eat enough fiber to keep everything in your gut moving out, idiot. Do I have to do all the thinking around here? I've been eating 0.8 to 1.0g/lb of protein for YEARS and don't have these problems.
>>
>>36008150
Do my thinking too while you're it breh

Please and thanks
>>
>>36008150
nigga i eat like 1.5 kg of mixed frozen veg daily
is it the broccoli?
>>
>>36008061
I'm a 140 lb manlet so it's pretty easy for me.

>>
>>36008061
No, not even close. I weigh ~75 kg and usually I eat about 90-110g of protein per day. But I'm also far from optimal training, so I don't think it matters much.
>>
Not even close to this, I'm eating 140g~ per day, while weight 100kg. I eat a lot of veggies and yogurt to avoid guts problems, anyway.
>>
I remember reading a study that found the point of (seriously) diminishing returns for high level bodybuilders and powerlifters on steroids to be 0.73g/lb
>>
>>36008061
I don't actually count but I would say yeah, for sure. It's not that hard. Drink your milkshakes. Eat your steakies. Eat some nuts. Get into yogurt. You will soon reach your protein targets without even trying.
>>
Fuck no. I eat double the DRI, which is 0.36g per pound of body weight.
>>
I cap it. 1g per cap. Some have tuna, others pb, meat, whey, etc. I have about 6 meals a day with 30 to 40 caps each meal. Not that hard.

1g/lb is a meme OP. No natty would ever use more than 100g a day. The rest you just piss out.
>>
>>36008061
you only need 0.68-0.82g/lb. the 1g/lb meme needs to die
>>
>>36010700
>You piss out calories.
Opinion discarded.
>>
i eat 2g / lb desu

not because of that rule but because it's 30% of 3300 kcal
>>
>>36010700
>you piss out protein

now THIS is a meme
>>
Consider this. Instead of eating all that unnecessary protein out of fear of losing gains how about you stop falling for this protein meme and up your carb intake so you can actually make some real gains
>>
OP are you getting a lot of your protein from shakes? I notice healthy meals usually don't give me an issue but if I'm downing shakes then the rancid gasbeast escapes.

>>36010568
>There is normally no advantage to consuming more than 0.82g/lb (1.8g/kg) of protein per day to preserve or build muscle once you’re past the novice level as a natural trainee. This already includes a mark-up, since most research finds no more benefits after 0.64 g/lb.

By this statement isn't 1g/lb of protein still good and easy-to-remember advice to give new lifters? Especially considering that they will probably eat like shit at first, might as well give them a higher goal.

>>36010700
Good one mate.
>>
I was taught to eat 1g of protein per 1kg of bodyweight, last week found out its 1g per 1 pound. So now I aim for that, it's still to much for me to get 1g per pound, but i get about 150g instead of 180g.

It's per 1kg of lean bodyweight. Your body fat doesn't need protein.

I eat about 1.2g/kg.

>strength-trained athletes may be as high as 1.6 to 1.7 g/kg
So with a reasonable safety buffer, 1g/lbs? :^)
>>
>>36013367
The international society of sports nutrition says 2.0g/kg for strength trainees.

Shooting for 1g/lb is perfectly fine. I don't really know why people try to argue against it so much. As far as rules of thumb go, it is just fine.
>>
>>36013367
>:^)
That's not necessary, I only said how much I eat and why. But
>reasonable
I could eat 125g or 70g
>>
>>36008061
try a more plant based diet with a lot of fruit and vegetables for enzymes and fiber. this will help.
also doing cardio speeds up the metabolism which will allow for more protein to be absorbed so you actually recover and grow faster!!
>>
>>36008061
Are you a fatass?
>>
>>36008061
If yu fart a lot you need to eat more fiber and drink water.

What you're seeing is the effects of constipation because you eat like a fucking tard, protein does not produce more gas
>>
>>36013413
You mean the global supplement industry says 2.g/kg

Renato "Babalu" Sobral vs David Heath

Heath chatted shit, and subsequently got banged. Sobral was cut from the UFC as a result of holding this submission too long.
>>
>>36008184
Broccoli gives me the gas from hell, and massive amounts of it, theres a sugar found in broccoli that doesn't digest well in some people and travels to the lower intestine to become the winds of death.
