Hey /fit/ i've been lifting for some time now and want to know what you guys think of BCAA's and if you take them. What are they doing?
is it considered natty?

ofc they're natty.. do you know what bcaas are? I take them in the morning before working out fasted, else they're pretty useless

what does taking them before working out do?
>>35690049
I use them when I train fasted, otherwise you don't really need them
Bought some yesterday, the whey-shop-guy tells me to put some in 1L water and drink in during training. However, product instructions tell me to put some in 200mL water and drink it before and after training. Coach also tells me to drink it before bed. Who should I believe ?

Mine taste quite good. Nice to drink something sweet while cutting. I don't know what they do ,just got them for free.

Don't listen to the supplement company, they want you to overuse it so you have to buy more. I throw a scoop or 2 into a shaker cup and fill it with water, drink it before I work out. Done.

its a meme
supposedly its a kind of protein that you need during a workout, so youd drink it before working out
normal whey and other foods that have complete proteins also have bcaa`s on them, and just having them on your diet is enough, you dont need to eat right before a workout for it to have any effect
Leucine is the most beneficial and can keep muscle tissue growing when cutting..

I buy them because they taste good and have no sugar/calories. If they do something great, if not, whatever. Though they do make cutting more bearable especially after waking up really sore in the morning and just craving a big meal. Pic related was $40, comes out to like 50 cents per serving yet people will still claim you're "wasting money."
meme supplement
does nothing

They do though. You should have said "they have negligible amount of calories and carbs."
