Does protein powder work or is it all just snake oil like Creatine?

its a supplement
means it supplements your diet.
It's the same thing you'd get from food only easier.

If you are an idiot who actually eats oat meal all the time and asks himself: Why do I get no protein?
>>35688146
this
few people need more than 100g of protein. Look it up and never buy powder again unless you're a veggy faggot

I fucking love oatmeal. It's so easy and I add honey, it tastes... mmphh..
It's not magical. It's just food. It won't do anything for you that regular food won't do. It just makes it cheaper and easier to hit a high amount of protein in a day.

>protein powder
>work
wat. that's like asking if eating chicken breast works.
>>35688146
I actually just bought that exact flavor pictured in the center there, and I have to say it's pretty fucking tasty.

Contradictory to nearly every reputable study regarding resistance exercise and protein intake
>>35688584
congrats on your walmart garbage
>>35688531
That's ok but think about it you would need 4kg-6kg oatmeal for your daily protein.
>>35688609
Yeah, but it's TASTY!
>>35688588
Do you have studies that actually say 2g/kg is beneficial to say 1.2-1.4g/kg protein? I would really like to read more about this.
>>35688640
And shit ton of suger and calories
>>35688054
It works but only part time. It moonlights as a cocktail waitress.
>>35688054
Creatine works dummy. But yes protein works. WPI is fast absorbed and has high BV value. Then there is casein proteins like micellar casein, which are slowly absorbed over time.. like low GI but for protein.
>>35688666
2g/kg is beneficial, thats current commonly accepted knowledge.
Recent studies up to 4g/kg didn't increase gains, they were the same, but increased fat loss over 2g/kg - and this isn't 2g/kg at the same total calories as 4g/kg, they didn't reduce calorie elsewhere to accommodate the extra protein.

>>35688054
Of course it works, it's just proteins. You don't need it to make gains, and studies suggest that amounts of protein like 1 g/lb is usually not beneficial (although it doesn't hurt either).

3 grams a scoop... I'm on keto even, and it still works
>>35688054
You don't need it, just eat real food.

>>35688885
aren't these studies or whatever literally conflicting each other tho
