Opinions on the Adidas Powerlift 2.0?
I'm on a budget and need some decent shoes.
I also like that the heel is lower than the weightlifting shoes.
Great shoe for the value. About half the people with shoes at my gym use those.
how much do you squat? if not 3 plates gtfo and use any shoes
>>35686429
120kg squat and 145kg deadlift. Not impressive but I'm still a newbie.
>>35686427
Is the sole durable or will it start compressing after a few months?
>>35686476
I haven't had the problem after ~5 months of owning a pair but I exclusively wear them while lifting and immediately take them off to preserve them
Are these just the new version of the Power Perfect?
>>35686517
Nice, I think it's a purchase for me then.
Thanks m8, thanks guys.
I used them for a year or so, they are stable and do their job. But I was too lazy to switch shoes or put them off when doing deadlift (or assistance) so I just sticked to chucks. You have to know if you need that extra mobility/quad work. They didn't look as high as the other adidas shoes so I bought them in the first place.
>>35686304
Powerperfect2's or bust
Why the need for shoes when lifting?
>>35686614
Too expensive for me.
>>35686595
I'll just deadlift in socks and wear the shoes for everything else.
>>35686304
save up and get the adipowers
They've been going on sales for as low as $95
>>35686304
>on a budget
>buying weightlifting shoes
Get your priorities checked
>>35686662
this
don't mess with the cheaper ones adipowers are the best
>>35686662
I can't wait for long. My uncle is in the US until Feb 2nd, and I won't be shipping anything internationally because the taxes double the price. He's gonna bring it with him so no taxes. So it's now or never.
>>35686680
I'm on a budget for the shoes. I'm not lacking in money for the daily life.
>>35686704
Then save up for fucking 1 or 2 more months and go big or go home
You can't lift that much anyways
>>35686727
You don't get it, I don't live in the US. I can't save up for 2 months because I'd be paying twice the price if I ship it to here.
>>35686517
Same, been wearing them for squats for over a year now. But I'm still baby weight.
>>35686304
>>35686614
>cheap plastic soles
that shoe site on the /wlg/ sticky said they compress relatively easy
>>35686704
>muh shipping
I seriously hope you don't live in Yurop, they're not on decathlon.com, but they're there if you spend more than 30 seconds searching.
>>35686750
South America, no stores sell weightlifting shoes. Not even the official Adidas website has them on their catalog.
>>35686743
Do shipping prices go up throughout the year?
>>35686783
>>35686704
Didn't read, my mistake
There are still other options available to you
Many of them are flat shoes
>>35686783
Taxes are literally 100% of the product+shipping total price. So it becomes 200% the price. An Adipowers would cost me over 250U$
If I buy a Powerlift2 right now it will cost me 80U$ or so.
>>35686797
I already lift in flat shoes, but I'm looking for a weightlifting shoes for better comfort, stability, and mobility. Plus I heard the heel helps with squat depth.
>>35686813
>helps with squat depth
You shouldn't use the heel as a crutch
If you can't squat properly in flats/socks, you have other issues to worry about
But it sounds like you have your mind made up m8
>>35686773
Have you tried Amazon?
>>35686853
I can squat below parallel with lowbar and ATG with front squats.
But if I can get a little bit more depth, I'd be happy.
But the main reason is comfort and stability, and help with mobility.
I already lift in flat shoes and I know I want something better.
>>35686883
Amazon only sells books in my country, anything else needs to be purchased from the .com website.
>>35686892
International shipping is not that much higher
its alright, i have only been doing highbar ATG in them so far.
>>35687177
Do the white ones get too dirty?
>>35687533
i dont ever take em outside and only wear them in the gym, so far its only gotten a little grey on the tip of the shoe, although i can probably easily clean it, had it for about 3-4 months now.
>>35687177
whats that black thing? blood pressure reg.?
>>35687842
its a squat plug, jeez lurk more.
>>35687842
You must be new

Clarebear wears power perfect 2s, as does big David bedzhanyan or however you say his name, and frankly is they are good enough for them they are good enough for you
>>35686304
very good shoes, i've had them for a year and like this guy >>35686517 i just take really good care of them.
>>35687177
>current year
>not lifting in romaleos
>>35688585
>be squatting
>buy romaleos
>pull back
>cant squat heavy
This was a month ago and my back is still a bit wonky.
might just take 2 weeks of squats and deads. depressing as i dropped 250 on them and cant use them as i intended
i got both powerlifts 2.0 and adipowers, admittedly i got my adipowers for less than the powerlifts during boxing day sale for like $76 CDN lol. powerlifts probably cost me like $90 CDN.
i used the powerlifts for a while, but now im using adipowers for heavy squat days, both are good really, especially if ur on a budget. just get whatevers cheaper.
>>35686304
>Adidas Powerlift 2.0?
Perfectly good for you.
>I'm on a budget
Buy from the Adidas web site and use special offers (e.g signing up for email), sales, coupons, credit card cash back and such to get the price down. I got a good deal on my Wei-Rui Warrior shoes ($77.94 shipped from MAXbarbell), but then the wife got her Powerlift 2.0 (as pictured) for significantly less.
>>35688585
>tfw can't afford romaleos
>>35688585
This. Absolutely this. Do not waste money on any other shoe.
Collect cans until you have enough.
Check out the adidas Drehkraft, OP. they are a notch up from the powerlifts. Let me know what you think
>pic related

>Do not waste money on any other shoe.
He's right. There is no point even starting to lift until you have Romaleos on your feet and - quite literally - The Perfect Set Up[1] in the gym in your home, the Villa LĂ©opolda.
