The body will process any simple sugar the same. It'll all be turned into glucose just as would regular sugar. This is why doctors in Canada now warn about foods high on the glycemic index, and that too many of them cause insulin resistance. Even Scoobs talks about this with orange juice, etc.

What I do know and what I think is probably the the more important point is the ratios involved.
A bag of M&Ms (about 50g) contains 30g of sugar.
In order to get that much sugar from sliced up strawberries youd have to eat 3 cups (622g).
Not to mention all the other good shit in strawberries that youd ingest at the same time.
