Who here /keto/?
I want to give it a try because I eat too many sweets and carbs.
Not overweight, just don't want the beetus
Tried it, went from 175lbs to 165lbs in three months. I liked it, gave me weird tingling sensations in my face for the first month though. Like I was constantly walking into spiderwebs or something.
Anyways, it gets a little boring, and expensive, but almost all the weight I lost was fat. If you're cutting I say go for it.

odd
gonna give it a shot. 12lbs away from goal
Why do you think keto will prevent diabetes if you aren't overweight? It isn't researched at all. Just follow the evidence-based scientific consensus that every medical professional advocates: stay physically active, eliminate processed food, refined grains and sugars, keep total fat and saturated fat low, no trans fats, plenty of whole grains, legumes, vegetables, fruits, omega 3s, some lean proteins, etc.
i dropped like 45 pounds on it
the science is all bullshit desu, it's just a good and easy way to manage hunger and calories at the same time.

The tingling is the ketones and ammonia in your sweat. Keto diet isnt great for you. Just cut like everyone else -500 kcal deficit.

12lb is nothing. You'll lose that in two weeks just from the water loss.
Keto is good because you are tiptoeing so much around food that you eat less of everything, and no shit that has unexpectedly enormous calories like beer.

So stop eating candy. I don't know why people think they have to go from a diet of all sugary treats to a diet of all fatty treats. Just eat healthier carbs.

>175lbs to 165lbs in three months
10lbs in 3 months
You consider this progress?
Tried it for a month
was great for controlling hunger at a low cal intake but otherwise it made me look tired and haggard all day and I started to develop short term memory problems
now back on carbs (only low gi/whole grain carbs) and i'm already thinking more clearly and my face is already looking more youthful and healthy looking
wouldn't recommend keto for more than a couple weeks or so

Guess I should've mentioned it was only a 300kcal deficit. Progressed in lifts too, no strength losses.
