What does /fit/ do in their cardio day?
I just did 35 minuted running
I don't have a day solely devoted to cardio, rather I do 20 minutes of LISS cardio after every lifting session.
I lift.

>tfw option to stretch or cardio after lifting
Since cardio does not help me lift more I just stretch for 15-20 minutes after each lifting session. I find it helps me more in the long run.
Like to lift. Than do 30 minutes on the stairmas tr machine. Then do another round of lifting.
I play basketball with the local nig nogs.
>>35538510
10 km on stationary bike.

Why does /fit/ not like cardio at all???
>>35539021
Cardio is pretty horrible to do. I mean, everyday I do a minimum of 3 km running, and getting sweaty and never seeing the end of the run is horrible for some people. I can understand it.
But I still try and do it every single day. Makes me feel good after it's done.
>>35539053
Your problem is running only 3k.
10k is where the fun starts.
>>35539053
cardio is only painful at first, when one does not have much stamine.
You are supposed to enjoy cardio!
>>35539087
>>35539069
Oh, I enjoy it. I can't do 10 k every day, because I still have weight to lose and I also like to lift, it's a matter of time available, not wanting to not do it.
I even participated in my first 5k this year, shit was awesome.
I cycle at a high intensity for 5 min before every session
I cycle for 20 mins at a high intensity once a week
I'm thinking about upping it to twice a week
>>35538510
2.5 miles/ 4k every other day. Still a fatty tho;
>>35538510
I know /fit/ hates cardio but personally I think it's even more important than lifting from a health/performance perspective. I'm >>35540851
And i've always been strongfat and I used to smoke so it could be that i'm just training to get to average levels of cardiovascular health
>>35538510
I wanted to swim on rest days but I was told it would interfere with my recovery.
Run or swim a couple of times a week. Running does impact lifting especially any lift that requires explosive power.
>>35540929
Swimming is pretty low impact compared to other cardio. You just need to backfill calories.
>>35539087
I have mixed feelings about this. When I go real nice and slow cardio can be relaxing, but most of the time i push myself and it's miserable. Except at the end
>TFW runner's high
>Sprinting the last 300 feet of a long run
Cardio makes my depression worse for some reason. Probably all the time alone with my thoughts.
Two hours up-hill running combined with high intensity rock climbing, then run back down the mountain again. Fuck, I love that there's no snow yet.
>>35539087
All exercise hurts at first. Imagine if every lifter stopped working out after first bebbe DOMS. Cardio is goat.
>>35538510
suicide sprints. straightforward, intense, and doesn't take much time.
I used to run on a treadmill at the gym all the time. Then I got really bored of doing it so I moved on to running up a stair machine for 10-20 minutes. Makes me sweat like a pig after like 5 minutes.

>The cardio bunny who learned.
>>35538510
Really getting into running at the moment.
1 interval run (usually 800 x 5 or 1600 x 4)
1 tempo run (3 - 5 miles)
1 long run (8 - 9 miles)
1 recovery run (2 miles)
Hoping to break 40 minute 10k in a few weeks.
> What does /fit/ do in their cardio day?
laying in my bed and watching the snowfall and crazy cold outside through the window, 45 minutes a day
>>35538510
Twice a week running. My short run is 1 hour long, my long run is any time past 1 hour. I usually don't go past 2 hours.
>>35539021
They all have fast-twitch fibers, which doesn't suite well with cardio. People who excel at cardio tend to have slow-twitch fibers.
>>35542056
>They all have fast-twitch fibers, which doesn't suite well with cardio. People who excel at cardio tend to have slow-twitch fibers.
Is this why I suck at lifting, or am i just pathetic?
>>35542056
>They all have fast-twitch fibers, which doesn't suite well with cardio. People who excel at cardio tend to have slow-twitch fibers.
yeah, my runs often turn into crazy sprint sessions
but that's still good cardio, HIIT and shit
Lift 3 times a week
Cardio 3 times a weeks (one day I lift, one day I run)
Stepper or treadmill. HIIT one time per week.
My actual running goal is 10:30 for 1,5 miles.

It may be that you're exhausting yourself with cardio. I don't lift well either since I only use lifting for injury prevention.
>>35538510
More sets
Jump rope. I did 30 minutes yesterday.
>>35542307
*hop hop hop ho hop hop*
WEEEEEEE
>>35541996
we do the same running routine, except my interval run is 60/120's for 8-10 sets
Is it true cardio kills gains?
Who here /rowing/ master race? My gym just got a endless rope pull machine so I hop on that during push/pull days as a warm up.
>>35538510
5 minute warm up on the elliptical machine
15 minutes rowing
35 minutes elliptical
5 minute cooldown
I played rugby for 11 years and fucked up both my knees and my shoulders really bad so I can't run farther than 2 miles before they swell up and feel like they're about to rip in half.
>>35538510
>cardio
Sorry, i like my gains
running, skip rope, sometimes incline treadmill if i'm feeling lazy
>>35543839
Amerifag here, on days with Champions League I'll incline walk/jog for the match because it's the only sporting event that can keep me distracted. Sweat like a pig doing it, feels good to do every once in a while.
>>35543746
No, it's a meme.
>>35538510
>I just did 35 minuted running
I got bad news for you, OP: you're not even totally warmed up in only 35 minutes. That was 35 wasted minutes because you stopped. Go for at least an hour or don't bother at all.
