Hey guys, I'm a /fit/ normie, and I started watching Naruto because I'm on vacation and I have nothing better to do.
Honestly, I don't know if all animes are as good as this one, but I love it (I'm 95% sure that Naruto is the "normie" anime). It's pretty slow, the writers could fit 3 episodes in 1 desu, but the pros still outweigh the cons. I love the character development. I've never felt like crying to an animated cartoon, but Naruto brought me to tears. The themes are all relate-able (envy, jealousy, envy, isolation, etc.)
Idk, I just really liked it and I've never been into Otaku culture.

Plus, American Naruto sounds bad-ass. It seems as if the Jap voice actors have higher pitched voices.
But so far it's only been Japanese here since I have no other option (yet)

its not so much a sin as no one does it, due to the english dubs being rush jobs. Everything is done in one take often with mispronounced names, and acting so wooden it makes a highschool production look good. The american "actors" can`t even emote which destroys the impact of drama.

There are a lot of crappy filler episodes, but I make myself watch them all.
