Squats are cool. Dead lifts are high risk low reward. If you're not a physical sport athlete or power lifter dead lifts are pretty unnecessary unless you plan to compete. You can argue that anything is pointless but for the purpose of body building, dead lift is not. Yeah they make you feel great but pulling heavy DLs is asking for unnecessary injury risk with no reward other rhan satisfying your autism.
