My gym replaced today the squat rack with a leg press. I dont know what to feel right now.
I'm currently doing stronglifts (9 months) but without squats i dont see the point of continuing the program.
What should i do /fit/? I still have 3 months in my gym and i dont want to waste them. Should i change to another workout? Replace them with leg press + leg curls? Help.
Goblet squats
bump
Just do leg presses. All leg workouts are interchangeable.
Squat the leg press machinie.

oh you poor thing
>>35437171
but doing just leg presses are enough to replace squats from the program?

the idea that leg press < squat is a meme for the most part. you can get most of the stabilization work you'd get from squats from deadlifting and rowing, and you can avoid being that asshole that leg presses 10 pl8 by using only 1 leg or doing the hack squat variant (most leg presses i've used had that option unless it's some abomination i've never seen before)

if you've hit your third deload, which you should have by now, it's time to switch to an intermediate program

doing squats with proper form can prevent lower back pain

I hitted my third deload in ohp but that's it. Im still not in the stage of doing 3x5 yet. Should i just move on with the intermediate programs in the sticky?
do front squats

late ass reply
if that's the case i'd say toss a coin. most switch to an intermediate program in a year at the latest so you're gonna have to switch soon anyway

So it seems that i should do an intermediate workout. I thought that the next thing to do was to do 3x5. I will take a look at the sticky for another program. Thanks for the help guys

Squat in the curl rack. Manlets curl in the squat rack all the time. Show them a little dominance.

Both of these guys are retards.

You stay on a beginner's program until you can no longer progress. If you are still making progress, there is no reason to add weight slower and make gains slower. Keep going. I did SL for about 10 months before I couldn't recover between workouts (squats were 3x5 395).

Come on senpai. That's shit bait desu.
Just talk to the manager and say you only joined the gym because of the squat rack and that you'd like an early release from your contract, if he says no then just say you will contact your lawyer to see what action you can take.
Of course you're bluffing right but sometimes bluffs work.
