What's your opinion on grunting / getting pumped when lifting heavy at public gyms? I really can't help myself when I'm squatting heavy, but other than that I keep quiet.

Waste of effort pumping yourself up before every lift. Save it for competition, if at all.

It's a public gym dude. I'd be loud if I worked out in a powerlifting club, but theres no point in embarrassing yourself infront of 45 year old men and dyels

Grunting happens sometimes. As long as you're not being an attention-seeking dick about, no worries.

says its a bad sign if you're needing to hype up for a lot of regular sets.

I can't grunt, I physically try and just feel like it interrupts my bracing and tightness.

Well grunting is fine but just screaming and hollering even before the set like kancer muscle over there is uncalled for.
