How much can you increase your bench with push ups?
Obviously it doesnt help if you can bench 3 plates already. But will pushups help me progress if I cant even bench 2 plates?

Also push up roll thread. Last two digits familia.

Maybe, but not really. Pushups are more of an endurance exercise, really.

Estimates show it translates to approximately 60-70% of your bodyweight but I've never found myself or heard from others that it translated to bench very well. I don't think it will hurt but if you want to have a higher bench you should just bench more and do other lower-volume accessories like weighted dips and incline DB press or whatever.

Weighted pushups are a closed chain exercise, so they're slightly better for you than bench. It's just that they're a bitch to make weighted, so people avoid them.

You should be doing weighted pushes as an accessory, just to prevent winged scapula.

I can do 15 push ups

I'm trying to do 100 per day even in small chunks of 10 but I can't do more than 50 a day

I do 100 a day in blocks of 20 all over in about ten mins
but that's only because i've just started actually going to the gym but it's shut over new year and i don't want to lose any small noob gains i'm making
