I'm legitimately afraid to cut. I've permabulked my way out of bone demon mode over the past year or two and the thought of making no gains for months, and probably losing some, scares me.
Any tips on how to keep maximum gains during a cut?

Don't be afraid, OP. Just don't go overboard with it, i.e. do a small cut, and you'll probably look like a greek statue.

eat 1g protons per lb lbm
hit everything at least once a week, take the opportunity of cutting to play around with more strength / hypertrophy based training depending on what you were doing before
realise that unless you roid you're going to have to switch to maintenance mode eventually, so may as well practice training without massive progression while you're cutting
