Asking for my DYEL brother,
He's starting to get into fitness but he's pretty young (15) he wants to get into a gym but I'm questioning if it's too young or not.
What do you guys think?
How do you think he'll be treated?
What age did you guys join?
What can he do to not look like a complete autistic nerd?
Of course I'll be there with him to show him form and stuff but what do you guys think?

gym is cool brah, but dont go heavy. your bones are still developing (ie. growth plates not fused, still growing), so putting undue weight on them will stop their growth. if it were me i'd do gym later on in a few years time, but go ahead with sports, running, and light gym in the meantime. consult with your high school teachers yo.

If you're the one taking him you should know how the people in your gym behave. Personally I never talk to anyone in the gym because we're far too busy worrying about our own progress to give half a fuck about what anyone else is doing. The only exceptions are "hey m8 care if I grab this pl8?" And "is someone using this or did they just leave the weight on it like an asshole?"

That's only if you fuck up your form. Good form and you don't hurt shit. I would mostly do bodybuilding shit so you're not risking messed up form to squeak out that one extra rep at 90% 1rm.
