Easiest method in which to reset insulin sensitivity, which will make your nutrient portioning more efficient over time. Meaning if/when you do bump carbs, the resulting insulin spike shuttles nutrients towards recovery vs fat storage.
This is pretty much a meme in the west, because most everyone including skinny people are insulin resistant. This results in skinny fat.
It's also just super easy, and results in a quick 5-10lb loss due to the lack of water/glycogen.
Not advocating one method of dieting over another, experiment but many people find it efficient including myself.
