Just practice by starting conversations with people in casual settings, such as the grocery store while waiting in line, or at the doctor/dentist office etc. Places where you can sperg out and not have to worry about ever having to see these people. I used to have the same trouble until I got a couple retail jobs in college. Shit talking becomes natural. The biggest thing I learned is that people like talking about one topic more than any other: their self. Smile, laugh, add in. Respond appropriately and show emotion and involvement. Also lightly making fun of them or yourself is a good way to break the uncomfortable stranger barrier. As does light, casual swearing. It shows passion and encourages the other person to relate to you better. Practice is best, of course. Not trying to lecture or tell you things you already know. Just trying to give tips, as i've been in your spot before. It isnt as hard as you'd expect it.
