I just took my first IST for the Marine Corps. I did 65 crunches in two minutes, 12:12 mile and a half, but couldn't get any pull ups. I've been doing negatives, push ups, bicep curls, and regular bench, but I feel like I'm not making any progress.
What do you guys suggest for me to get started on my pull ups? I'd like to get to two by next month, and keep moving up from there.

pull-downs, but with proper form (pull your elbows to your sides as the primary movement)

Well you're in shit shape, dude. Lose weight and lift weights, once you can do a pull up do them all the time.

This is how you want to do pullups, this uses your back muscles which are much stronger than your arms.

What does this come out to on the score card? Your numbers look like garbage.

For the IST, it's a failure due to the zero pull ups. It's a pass or fail event. Minimum run is 13:30 for males, 44 crunches for males. Not the best numbers at all, but not claiming them to be.
Why are crunches a thing?
Work on Chin ups, rows and negative Pullups.

I did Scoobies pullup program and now I can do 10 pullups. Also: loose weight, i started as a skinny but if youre fat its gonna be hard unless you loose weight while you follow any bw routine.
