Wtf PLG. I've been struggling with deadlift for months, because i can't keep a straight lower back when it gets heavy. Today just for fun i tried sumo deadlift for the first time.. Instantly i found a good position, and pulled the weight. It felt easy, and i was amazed. I ended up pulling my last PR without rounding my back. Last time i did it with conventional i had a rounded back.

I don't understand. Mfw there's no going back anymore.

1) I'm not sure if my form was right, becouse it was my first time doing it and i was alone. I just said that i found a good position to pull and that my lower back was straight (i recorded it)

2) My last PR was done a year ago, because i haven't gone any further.That's becouse of a cut and rounding my back. My squat has been progressing tho, so that's why i think its possible.

Yeah that should always be the first thkng you should try with injuries, get blood flowing to the area/break up funky muscle tissues

could be too heavy and stresses your hamstring/glute complex

probably not tight hamstrings if you can do a proper conventional deadlift

might be a nagging minor injury where you need to bck off a bit an let it heal

if your stance is too wide that might cause pain in the more medial aspect towards the adductors

it's hard to fix your problem specifically without anything to go on, but these are some common points. if you want specific help, post a vid or something

currently running linear progression on sets of 10.

Obviously ill stall quicker on sets of 10 than say sets of 3.

Got any opinions on what to do when I stall? Should I do what PP3ed says for 5 rep sets or got any other opinions?

Yeah. Those deads are nasty, friend. You're not setting the bar up over your midfoot at all. Remember that "midfoot" is not the point between your ankle and your toes, it's the point exactly between your heel and the end of your toes - the bar should be about an inch from your shins. Setting up this way will eliminate that lumbar rounding you got going on.

Not great at this, but you're getting some lower back rounding in your diddly. Keep your erectors tight. Big tip that worked for me was to keep lats super tight by rotating elbows inwards as you lift, thanks based Candito.

Oh and when you're lowering the weight, break at the hips and sit back into your starting position while keeping tight so you always stay in the deadlift position rather than lowering the weight and rounding your back.

Kinda looks like you're leaning too far forward in your squat too. You're initiating the lift by leaning forward with your torso. Instead, initiate the lift by breaking at the hips and sit down into it.

This was the first set of my work sets at 97.5kgs, the first thing I really noticed was my t spine being nowhere near in extension.

How do I fix it? I'm uploading a couple more videos at the minute with lower weights.

I already had to drop the weight once because I realised my neck was going get to fucked up because I got watching myself in the mirror to see if I made depth.

Your position in the hole is fine (2nd picture) but as I said you're initiating the lift with your torso and leaning over way too much and way too early as you can see from the first picture which looks absurd.

The amount someone gets out a belt will vary wildly depending on how good they are at bracing with one vs without. Sleeves add somewhere between literally nothing and a few kilos, more if you downsize the shit out of them.
