Yo guys, today I finally reached my starting goal of losing 40 kg and did so in around 1 and a half years. I got 90% of my motivation/knowledge from this board and I want to help some newfags with some of their issues losing weight. So i guess this is a WEIGHT LOSS GENERAL THREAD

What I do that works well is. do cardio on your off days. Running,swimming is a great way to get blood floor to your sore muscles to repair them. Maybe start a 3 day a week heavy lifting program and run,swim, row in your off days. Keep one day a week completely off... At least for a while until your body is used to the added stress you putting on it. Cardio should raise your heart to a level where you feel it is difficult but dont kill yourself every session for the first few weeks.

From the sounds of it man, you should be looking more at what your eating. For me personally, cutting as many carbs as you can is going to be benificial. Maybe start doing pingers and sweat your fat off at a nightclub idk bro, if youre doing exercise and eating healthy it should just fall off within like 3-4 months

thanks. yeah thats 3,2 kg of lost fat (already not counting the depletion and gastrointestinal content of the first few days).
got low t levels right now but meh will try to fix them after the diet, dont know if theyre diet related or just generally low (and i mean clinically low, tested several times). so i guess at least i can get shredded at low t levels even if i cant make the biggest mass gains

depends on your weight. use 10-12 calories per lbs of goal weight depending on your activity level and go for 1,5gr of protein / lbs to stay on the safe side. then add some fats and carbs (which will be pretty low). but thats lyle mcdonalds and eric helms' recommendation.

Allright, according to that calculation my daily kcal intake is just fine at the 1600. My p/f/c ratio is different thought, protein not so high (at 0,8 I think) and higher fat. I have been cutting- although not consistently (I need to work on my willpower) for 3 months and I have lost 8 cm on my waist.

damn get your protein higher. the higher the deficit, the higher the protein has to be. all those ,8-1 gr per lbs are first of all averages of the nitrogen balane (meaning that even in the study there were people that needed significantly more) and they were not done in a deficit. trust eric helms and lyle mcdonald and go at least to 1,3 up to 1,5 gr per lbs

Bowl of noodles and a cuppa green tea a day in conjunction with walking up hills everyday had me lose 14kg in 6 months but I went back up to ~100kg after going home for 3 months.

I doubt you will keep off those kgs since you got rid of them do quickly but I can always be wrong.

Not to mention I was also playing a lot of sports every week.
I'm not exaggerating either, I legit would eat a bowl of noodles at noon and drink green tea every other time I felt overly hungry. Obviously it's not the most nutritional 'diet' but im not missing additional calories.
I thought 14kg in 6m was pretty good Your guess as to why I didn't lose more is as good as mine
