SS is a good routine, just don't GOMAD, you'll only get fat like every powershitter. Aesthetics=low bodyfat, all this tards don't realize that if you gomad at 18%bf you'll end up at 25% and no matter how much you bench press you will always look like shit. That's why most brosplitters usually look better, because their memediet chicken+brownrice is actually better and diet=80% of the result

people think SS is a bad routine because they don't understand that it takes longer than 3 months to get a nice physique anyways and SS is the best way to build a muscle base to start with. There are actually retards that think you're supposed to do SS forever or something. It's called Starting Strength for a reason, you're supposed to quit doing it and move on to something more complex once your lifts are beyond the beginner level.

Why is a "strength base" important before brosplitting?

Consider the following:

>chest: bench
>back: deadlift, weighted chin, rows
>legs: squat, SLDL
>shoulders: OHP
>arms: weighted dips, hammer curls

If you worked up in sets of 5 to a 5RM for each of those compounds before doing the usual high volume brosplit work, what would be wrong with that even for a beginner?
