Actually, the jury is NOT out on the hormonal effects of soy. Personally I think dairy is verifiably worse though (including whey) since milk taken from a perpetually pregnant mammal's tits has been shown to be loaded with hormones. A Harvard study even flat out declared this, a simple google search will show. The problem is how ingrained the dairu industry is in our culture. Got milk?

Anecdotally, I've lost weight, had a more stable mood, and been acne free since cutting out dairy.

Not my point, pea protein being 'as effective' as whey when used to supplement an otherwise balanced diet does not mean it has a more complete amino acid profile than whey.

Given whey's generally better received taste (important for compliance; protein powder that just sits on your shelf doesn't do you jack shit for gains no matter how good it is) and more widespread availability I will continue to recommend it for general protein supplementation.

There isn't really (assuming the trainee has an overall complete amino profile) but it doesn't make pea protein more (or as) complete than whey.

Even the product page for pea protein says whey is better!

Plus it gives you cancer and has 14% of daily sodium per scoop.

The study made me consider, but I'll stick with nice natural, wholesome whey.
