My lower back hurts and I'm pretty sure it's from deadlifts
What exercise can I do that replaces deadlifts for now?
Ivr replaced deds with barbell stiff leg 3X8 for years. Best thing ever.that fukin glute ham connection, don't need to go heavy either

Try barbell hip thrusts and glute-ham raises.

No way I'm doing hip thrusts
Glute ham raise is probably best. If you also can't train legs, try belted squats.

I have a small hole gym and a gym membership. The only thing I use my home gym for is hip thrusts. I just can't be seen doing that in public.

Proper form deadlift

glute ham raise/lying leg curls are great for your posterior chain if all you want is a healthy lower back
maybe add in some backextensions (break at the hips, dont round the lower back, dont hyperextend your back) and you're good m8
pretty much my routine after having disc surgery for disc herniation l4/l5 and no back problems whatsoever
dont do that if you're currently injured though, let it heal first

weighted hypers

Yesterday an anon was complaining about pain while deadlifting and was given advice to really activate your abs. I had back pain while deadlifting as well so I've tried it today and it works! You must tighten your abs really hard and form pressure in your belly for it to work
One does not simply replace deadlift
Just correct form and accept being a small person (lift lighter weights)
