No. You shouldn't ever train abs before heavy squats or deadlifts.
Buy an ab roller and do 50 reps or even 100 reps overall in how ever many sets at the end of the week (Friday's session)

Ab roller gave me doms and strained my abs so yeah it's pretty good.

Why should I never train abs before squaz or deadlift? And do you mean a day before or before the set as a warm up?
>>
>>34993928
because you use lots of core strength while squatting, if you are tired there then you will fail at weights you would of otherwise done 3x5. You can do some ab stuff at the end of your session, but take the day inbetween off to recover properly. Remember to do GHR or back extension as well for even strength or you can fuck your back.

You don't train on rest days.
That's why they're called rest days. You need a day to rest. Muscles don't get big and strong by doing exercise, they get big and strong by RECOVERING from exercises.

Depending on the program.
With Greyskull LP, it's considered alright to do BW exercises in low volume on offdays. Same with cardio.

But he's doing SS, hence the way he said "SS".
And if you're starting strength, you rest on rest days, period.
