Hey /fit/, how do I unlock my hips?

I'm not a grill I'm asking as a male lifter doing SS.

Apparently, unlocking hips is a thing. How?

You mean hip hinging? Like the deadlift movement breaking at the hips?

look up hip extensor and flexor stretches, most people have extensor issues.

Yoga. There's so many yoga poses about unlocking your hips, I have super tight hips and yoga is helping immensely with it

What is "unlocking your hips" supposed to mean? Flexibility? Or does it have any visual effects?

Do you mean opening up your hips to hit squat depth?
If so, shove your knees out until you feel a stretch in your groin area
>but my knees are out
No, they're not.

It really depends what's wrong. Some issues can be down to issues with joints like arthritis or misalignment, it could be just soreness or tightness in some prime movers like hamstrings or erector spinae, or it could even be down to stress which causes iliopsoas tightening amongst a few other things. If you can get down to the root of the problem you have a better chance of it going away.
