although yes you can deadlift 3 times a week if you want. im not sure why /fit/ has a rule against it. squats are as taxing if not more so than deads with a greater chance of injury

I think it's cool. Might be hard to do all of those in one session. But if you get in enough food and rest before, why not. I just don't like the pulling to pushing ratio, but that might just be me because my back and shoulders are prone to injuries.
I'm actually doing something similar since this week, because I focus on boxing now and only train once a week, so I just put together the exercises most important to me.

DB rows 2x8
pull-ups 2x failure

optional pump exercise if I still have something left in the tank (curls, shrugs, leg raises, push-ups, ...)

I would really like to know in what BOOK he talks about this routine though. I have seen many "quotes" on forums and exercise websites but I cant find anywhere where Arnold himself says in one of his BOOKS that he used this routine or was even aware of it. I keep saying BOOK because I mean a BOOK. Or at least a video of the words coming out of his mouth.

Ive only been on it 3 weeks but coming from a 3x5 strength routine I am out of breath doing sets of 10. Not even a fat fuck. Hell of a pump though good god.
My only concern is it has no deadlifting. I am planning on replacing squats on 1 day (wednesday) with deadlifts. 1x10

what's vanilla SS? I just do the one on the sticky really. Gains have been ok I guess. I'm still far from transitioning tho.

Been cutting since I started, so it's been tough trying to pack on weight on the barbell recently. Might cut for another 2 months before I bulk.
