Hell no man, i know the anons here can't personally help you, myself included. But for what it's worth, life is too worth living to give it up.

>>34915908
I'm very sorry lad, that sounds awful. I'm glad it happened when you were surrounded by people who responded quickly.
>>34915908
This is incredibly terrifying to read. If true, I'm really sorry for you. Maybe there was some malformation in the vascular system of your brain or something. It's not normal for stuff like this to happen, kind of like when people randomly drop dead because of a heart defect. Don't an hero anon, maybe you're better of getting it now like your doctor said, at least you're still alive.
>>34915908
You did cardio the day before didn't you.
>>34915908
How are you typing this? Not calling you a liar but you're a liar. Also, 19 YO and a stroke, sounds 'spicious

If it's something you're really determined to get back into you have a good shot at it with physical therapy.
>>34916002
if you pull it off will you die?
>>34916015
Sorry to hear about this. Are you in Uni? I'm dying too and I'm 18 if it makes you feel better. Starting college this spring where I'll probably die of pneumonia, oh well.
>>34915882
Heart failure is entirely different than stroke but kek anyway
>>34916025
>>34916002
how the hell did you get a stroke at 19, you have some sort of pre-known illness? or did you just start lifting
>>34916029
>I'm dying too and I'm 18 if it makes you feel better.
Pretty sure everyone reading this feel worse now.
>>34916050
Don't worry it's a slow death, my lungs will slowly get more scarred until they stop working or I get a transplant. But I might choke on my food and drown in my mucus and saliva before that happens thankfully. That is, ofcourse, if I don't catch pneumonia due to my almost compromised immune system, only to be made worse by my chronic bronchitis.
Realistically, I'll live to 30-40.
Let's live our lives together in anguish, OP. I'm single.
>>34916040
No idea, they havent told me anything
Basically the doctors have came in twice since i regained conciousness few days ago to tell me
A. I fucked my shit up
B. Worry more bout getting back to walking rather than lifting

dude, you're young. my grandmother had a stroke at 92 and they told her she'd never walk again but she was up and moving in 2 years because she was determined. she never fully recovered, but she lasted until a month before her 100th birthday.

>>34915629
OP, your story is really fucked up. I don't even know if it's real and I'm too egoistic to really care much about you. Your story if fucked up, but it moved me now. You can't tell, how much I'm motivated. I've never planned to live long happy life. I'm still not planning to. But when I was young, I told myself, that there are some things to do before I die.
">the doctors told me had this happen to me as a 40 year old. Most likely i wouldnt wake up at all "
When I read that, I thought - this could happen to me. And if that would happen, there is a chance that I would not be as lucky as you, to woke up.
Fuck that. I can die everyday just because of some stupid random reason. And what will happen with my objectives if I die randomly? There will be noone to make them real.
Your stroke is thing that changed your life. That fucked your life. You can still made it good, but you will have to change your ways of living, your objectives, your focus. It's your story.
But your stroke and your story really changed my story, my path.
One stroke fucked your body, but improved my mind at the same time.
I will bear story of your stroke in myself.
I will be stroke for the world, that allows so many things to be fucked.
I'm the Stroke.
Some weaboo motivational music for you, OP.

>>34915629
Bodyweight. You can still be badass.
>>34915629
I feel you bro. I had a mild stroke when I was 19ish myself. Lost most of the peripheral vision in both eyes. No idea how or why. I didn't lift at the time but the doctors told me not to ever exert myself strenuously or I may have another. It's going to be hard but you can have a very normal life. Just don't let the depression get you. Keep trying and work at what you can do. A life of fear is the worst thing you can do for yourself.
>>34915908
don't let them decide for you. grip life by the balls and lift!
>>34915908

weight lifting is over but your life isn't.
stay strong and I hope you get a full recovery.
>PR or ER brahs
>ends up in ER
>>34916065
>worry more about walking than lifting
Doctors confirmed for not making it
Don't give up man. A friend of my father had a stroke as a young man, 26 I believe, and with determination, hard work, and a lot of help from his family, he's done away with his disability almost completely. You just need to work hard. The fact that your broca and wernicke's area seem to be unaffected is a HUGE advantage over other stroke victims that you shouldn't throw away. Fight man. Try to move, try to exercise when it's possible. Don't waste time on depressing thoughts, better your mind by reading instead. You'll pull through. It might not be in a year or two but in ten years you can make a huge recovery and you'll still only be thirty.
>>34915629
Congrats on becoming a worthless burden
>>34916019
He'll probably just stroke out again attempting physical therapy.
>>34915629
>>34915908

OP did you have any prior medical issues?
Did you do cardio?
>>34915908
why does this happen? Do you have genetic prerequesite or a higher risk? Is it because of misuse of steroids? Is there anything you can do against it?
I'm sorry :( I would send you boobs but i'm at work
>>34915629
tell us more
>>34917306
why are you at work it's 3am. also there are absolutely genetic factors for strokes. just don't unnecessarily raise your blood pressure, aka breathe during exercises.

>>34915629

ITT: Remember to breath during your reps.
>>34915908
>>34915908
You can and should eventually still do bilateral (ie barbell) lifts. They're good for recovery and good for your health. You just got to go real light and not expect mad gains.
You'll learn to compensate with facial muscles eventually probably. Like you'll have to do shit like squint your eyes to smile or whatever but the face usually does okay one way or another.
>>34915908
How the fuck do you get a stroke at 19 years old?
Shit sucks bro, hope you recover
>>34915908
Please dont troll me, but is this caused by the valsalva manouver? Also, I hope shit starts looking up for you anon, Im sorry man.
>>34915908
nah dude, cus the thing you've got on your side is time. Just imagine, in ten years time you'll still be young, and ten years is a long fucking time, and plenty of shit can happen. Just imagine, a little bit of progress every month, like being able to barely wiggle a toe, adds up over 10 years. And we haven't even discussed the matter of medical technology advancing fast as FUCK. Now consider 20 years. You see where I'm going?
You may never recover, but you sure as hell will get better. You have a long life ahead of you breh, make it a good one.
>>34915629
I'm so sorry Anon.
I'll lift for you.
