The addictiveness of caffeine is definitely under-represented. I didn't realize until I started smoking, but my thought patterns involving coke and the ones involving cigarettes were nearly identical.

Try drinking black coffee instead, it helps keep me off both of them. It won't help your sweet-tooth but it should get you your caffeine fix and that's half the battle.

My weakness is literally anything that's free desu. I was a broke, depressed, drug addicted college student who made a bunch of really poor decisions and there was a stretch where my only meals were from campus events with free pizza etc. I remember sometimes staying late at the library to walk around while nobody was there to fish food out of the garbage can so I could eat that day. Im 5'9 and during that time I was ~117lbs down from about 170lbs just a year before that, and I thought I looked good too desu because of pretty severe body dysmorphia.

Anyway now that i dropped out im doing much better (have a steady job, sober). Currently trying to lean bulk (currently ~145) and every time my work has free ice cream/cookies/brownies/pizza they order absolutely order way too much food and that starvation mentality automatically kicks in and I can't help but go into the break room when nobody else is there and gorge myself a couple times a week.

If you're struggling I recommend totally cutting out alcohol and fruit juice. I eat desserts at least once a day and am honestly struggling to put on weigth at the moment. So many other good things I can put in my body now that booze and juice aren't ballooning my caloric intake.

Your social life iwll take a hit but I feel and look pretty good despite the nightly sugary treat.

These are my weakness too. My wife bakes...she'll buy a giant bag of these fuckers and then make a batch of cookies and only use 1/5th the bag. Over the next week I end up destroying that bag....not only do I get the self shame and pack on a few lbs like a piggy boy, I also see the disappointment in my wife's eyes next time she goes to bake something and we're all out.
