Doing the SS part of the benchpress training.
Stalled at 50kg 1RM. Seriously.
Am I not pushing myself hard enough?
Alternaively, how the fuck do you make friends? I'm so lonely /fit/.

o-okay
>>34897868
how much do you weight?
if you're not fat then eat more
if you're fat drop the weight WHILE lifting weights (you might not add too much to your lifts), and then start eating
>>34897868
was the same man, but what I found that works is decreasing the weight to about 60-80% max and then doing it for 8-10reps instead of the 5 reps.
When ever you stall on SS just increase the reps and decrease the weight to get the burn rather than doing the 3x5 on the same weight and not feel anything.

120 lbs
>>34898130
Thanks dude, I'll try that.
>>34897868
is this pic shopped?
>>34898130
Gonna try this as well, even though it's not the same as incrementally increasing the weight by manageable amounts and Rippetoe makes no mention of this technique.
What's the next thing to go to after SS if you want hypetrophy/size/aesthetic gains to get mires?

Replace the OHP with an 80% Bench press and add 3 sets of 2-count pause benching at 60%. This would help.

she's perfect
When i stall out on bench press I have my self a push up extravaganza
eat more
deload 10%
get 1.25lbs plates
>>34897868
12/10/10/8/6 sets worked well for me
just increase the weight after each set
>>34898709
Oh you mean DELOADING??????Which rip does talk about in ss.
>>34899131
It doesn't really seem the same to me. Rip calls it a "reset" in order to let the body recover from accumulated fatigue, basically you reduce the weight and then start back up at the same rate of increment per workout, doing only 5 reps. Your method seems better to me, gradually adding more and more reps you can handle and then increasing weight.

>tfw went from 30kg 1rm to 75kg in 2 months
thank you based dianabol
if youre not progressing on a lift, check:
are you eating enough?
getting enough sleep?
is my form good?
after these three are good, check:
add more volume
